General education teachers from Taldykorgan Higher Polytechnic College: moderator Rustembekova A.M., expert Zholdasova M.D., and Bakaeva G.T. On November 13, 2025, an essay contest entitled “The Book That Changed My Life” was held among first-year students at our college.
The goal of the contest is to promote the culture of book reading and develop students’ thinking, analysis, and free expression skills.
Students from all disciplines actively participated in the event and submitted insightful essays about literary works that had a particular impact on them. The works submitted emphasized that young people develop spiritually through books and gain life guidance.
The jury selected the best essays, focusing on depth of content, richness of language, artistic quality, and relevance to the topic. Those who placed first, second, and third were awarded diplomas, while the remaining students were awarded various nominations. The winners and runners-up were awarded diplomas and letters of gratitude.
This competition was a valuable initiative aimed at fostering a love of books among young people and creating conditions for their spiritual development.
