Fab-Lab is an innovative environment for talented
youth, opening up modern opportunities

Taldykorgan Higher Polytechnic College has opened its doors to new Fab-Lab laboratories focused on modern technologies.

These laboratories provide a tremendous opportunity to develop students’ engineering thinking, complete production assignments, work with modern equipment, and hone their professional skills.

Fab-Lab laboratories are divided into the following areas

  • Robotics laboratory
  • 3D Modeling and 3D Printing Laboratory
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratory

No. 212, robotics laboratory

This office is an innovation center for young technicians.

The main capabilities of the laboratory are as follows:

  • NAO humanoid robots
  • Programming, creating a movement scenario, implementing AI models
  • Robotics platforms based on WorldSkills requirements
  • Design, management, and engineering problem solving
  • Experience with sensors, servos, and microcontrollers
  • Robot programming in Python, C/C++
  • Training ground for competitions and hackathons

No. 213, 3D modeling and 3D printing laboratory

In this room, students master the field of digital modeling and prototyping.

Basic equipment:

  • 3D printers
  • 3D scanners
  • CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Blender)

Students have the following opportunities:

  • Creation of 3D models of any shape
  • Manufacturing prototypes according to the engineering scheme
  • Testing printed materials
  • Production of models, industrial products, souvenirs

As a result, students can acquire design engineering skills and create a prototype of any project.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Laboratories No. 216, No. 217

AI classrooms are a high-tech hub for training future specialists.

Works in the following areas:

  • Python Basics
  • Machine learning (ML)
  • Computer vision (CV)
  • Neural networks
  • Chatbot development

Equipment:

  • Computer stations

  • Systems with a graphics processor

  • Interactive materials on AI

As a result, students acquire skills such as data analysis, training AI models, and creating intelligent systems.
